Guidelines
Here's a short list of simple guidelines for our customers to follow to ensure that their jobs arrive intact and go through our shop with minimum delay.
General Guidelines
- Supply all fonts. Include both printer and screen fonts.
- Supply clearly marked composite lasers of pages.
- Supply all crucial information — resolution, dpi, number of colors, final trim size — on the job order.
- Supply all supporting art elements.
- Make sure that all colors from supporting documents are created properly.
- Please indicate if colors are to process match.
- If high-resolution images are supplied, make sure they are at least 300 ppi.
- QuarkXpress blends often cause banding. Consider recreating blends in Illustrator or Photoshop if this is of concern.
- Make sure that all documents are built to trim. QuarkXpress allows for bleeds — please make sure that background tint and image boxes are pulled out to bleed.
