Introducing the new iMac
The all-new, all-in-one iMac packs a complete, high-performance
computer—including processor, camera, speakers, and more—into a
beautifully thin, anodized aluminum and glass design. iMac features
glossy widescreen displays in 20- and 24-inch sizes that make photos and
movies come alive with rich, vivid color. With iLife ’08, Mac OS X,
built-in wireless, and more, you’ll be creating, sharing, surfing, and
playing within minutes of opening the box. The 20-inch model starts at
just $1199, the 24-inch model at just $1799.
As you might suspect, design doesn’t supersede performance. The new iMac is more powerful than ever, with a faster processor, next-generation graphics, and larger hard drives. And it’s loaded with everything you need to make use of that power, including a built-in iSight camera, Wi-Fi, and SuperDrive.

The big picture.
All iMac models feature a display with a 16:10 wide aspect ratio —
perfect for watching movies, viewing photos, and using applications with
lots of palettes.
How do the displays compare? The 20-inch widescreen iMac offers a resolution of 1680 by 1050 pixels on its flat-panel LCD screen — 36 percent more than the previous 17-inch iMac. The 24-inch iMac offers a panoramic resolution of 1920 by 1200 pixels — 30 percent more screen real estate than the 20-inch model.
