New location for Four Lakes Colorgraphics New York
December 1, 2007 — Four Lakes Colorgraphics has moved its New York facility to a new location. Our new facility is located at 220 E. 23rd St. Ste 505. Our staff and services remain the same, just our location has changed.

Laserwords Acquires Four Lakes Colorgraphics
July 5, 2007 — Laserwords announced today that it has acquired Madison, WI based Four Lakes Colorgraphics. Laserwords is a technology-driven content production company for the publishing industry with its main operations in India and the USA. Four Lakes Colorgraphics is a full-service pre-media company, with offices in Madison, WI and New York, NY. Four Lakes Colorgraphics’ services include high-end color reproduction and content production.

Fred Nelson will continue his leadership role as President of Four Lakes Colorgraphics. Four Lakes will now operate as a division of Laserwords.

The products, services and solutions currently offered by Laserwords and Four Lakes complement each other. Laserwords’ strong technical expertise and XML capabilities complement Four Lakes’ deep experience in K-12 production. In addition to composition, Laserwords’ NIMAS and media capabilities combined with Four Lakes’ project management, design and editorial development expertise truly make the Laserwords/Four Lakes combination a single source provider for all K-12 needs. Laserwords now has over 1,000 full-time employees. Four Lakes Colorgraphics Inc. and Laserwords Strategic Alliance
May 15, 2007 — Four Lakes Colorgraphics Inc. and Laserwords have formed a strategic alliance to better serve their K-12 publishing clients in offering the right blend of cost, skills and expertise. This alliance will leverage the technology and resource advantage of Laserwords with the high-end pre-press experience and K-12 market knowledge of Four Lakes allowing customers to compete more effectively in the global educational market.

Four Lakes and Laserwords will integrate their respective onshore and offshore capabilities resulting in an expanded service offering for their clients that include offshore, onshore, and hybrid prepress services:

Editorial Services: Both Four Lakes and Laserwords will now offer New York based editorial services of Four Lakes to their combined client base.
Onshore Production Model: Four Lakes will continue to offer a complete onshore full service production model for complex product.
Hybrid Production Model: Clients can choose a hybrid production model where all customer interaction and project management will be handled by Four Lakes domestically. Four Lakes will coordinate production with Laserwords’s India facility and be responsible for the quality of the final product.
Offshore Production Model: Laserwords will continue to offer a “Direct to India” production model for ancillaries and product categories that fit the offshore workflow model that is currently in place.
Graphics and Art Development: Clients can choose between an onshore, hybrid, and pure offshore model for their art development needs.

As part of the alliance, the two companies will exchange best practices and establish an integrated workflow. Four Lakes will send two of its key production managers to the Laserwords facility in Chennai to begin the integration process between Four Lakes and Laserwords.

New High-speed Internet Connection
February 20, 2007 — Four Lakes Colorgraphics has completed the upgrading of our internet connection. We now have a full DS3 connection to the internet. This circuit is a synchronous 45mbps connection over fibre.
